about

dergar – nobody asked about the red shoes... 2011

All songs © by Christos Garmpidakis under the musical moniker dergar. Αll rights reserved.

music specially made for the contemporary expressive dance performance nobody asked about the red shoes..., inspired by H. C. Andersen’s fairy tale, choreographed, directed and performed by Effie Kaloutsi's dance team KER (Chania, Greece).

a few words about the performance:

issues emerging in the fairy tale may be present in contemporary society/life: scarcity, passion, balance, confusion, integration etc... issues that all people in all eras have to deal with and can lead to the ascertainment that life's superior laws may put aside our bittersweet passions...
